Reviews? Ratings? Categories? We don’t play that. Vandal says more about a spot in ten tags than any four-paragraph review could do. And what even is ‘Coffee Shops Nearby’? How about a café tagged “clandestine napping”, “man bun baristas”, “spinning vinyl”, “pristine poop spot”, “donut itis”, and “ski lodge vibes”? That’s the beauty of Vandal: it’s a blank canvas for local explorers and culture curators alike to see the color in their community.
Tags are the language of Vandal, but upvotes are the currency — that’s why you’ll want to be an early user and tag your fingers to the bone. If you’re the first person to tag a restaurant as “vegan”, you own that tag at that location. Yep, you! Anyone who upvotes it becomes your follower for that specific tag, which will be YUGE in the future as it means you can message those followers to gather at the location for some vegan-related antics… or, sell your tag and its followers to the restaurant itself once it joins Vandal as a business user. Drop out of college and tell your mom you’ve got a better idea: 1) tag, 2) influence, 3) ???
